What is a housing entitlement in staff housing?
A housing entitlement is what someone gets with the job: the kind of room, how much electricity and water is covered, and how much rent the employer pays. In Relyo each entitlement level is a grade, and every person you house has one. Relyo uses it to check room placements and split bills.
What is a grade in Relyo, and what does it define?
A grade in Relyo is a housing level you give a group of staff. It sets the room (minimum beds, rooms and bathrooms, and a room of their own), a utility allowance per utility type and rent cover. It also sets who pays utilities: the organisation, the occupant, or a split at the allowance.
What happens if a room placement breaks a grade's rules?
It depends on the setting you choose in Relyo: no check, warn or block. Warn flags the problem and lets you continue, and block stops the placement. Smart Match never proposes a room that breaks grade room rules.
Can different departments follow different rules?
Yes. In Relyo the setting applies to the whole organisation, and any department can have its own. A single stay can also get an exception.
What if we change a grade's rules in the middle of the season?
Relyo re-checks current stays and flags any new rule breaks. Fix them, or dismiss one with a reason so the exception is on record.
Who pays when someone uses more than their utility allowance?
In Relyo, the cost policy of their grade decides: the organisation pays, the occupant pays, or the cost splits at the allowance. With a split, the organisation covers up to the allowance and the occupant pays the rest. Bills are split by days stayed first.
Can staff see what their grade entitles them to?
Yes. The Relyo occupant portal shows each person their room, bed, dates, what their grade covers and their share of each bill.
