Frequently asked questions
Do our staff need to download an app?
No. Every Relyo portal works in the browser on any phone, with nothing to install. Staff can add it to their home screen so it opens like an app.
What can an occupant see and do in their portal?
In the Relyo occupant portal, your staff see their room, bed and dates, what their grade includes, any rent due and their share of each bill. They complete the move-in checklist and their own inspections, report repairs and add photos to them, and tell you when they have paid rent. They can also export their data or delete their account.
Does Relyo take rent payments through the portal?
No. Staff tell you in their portal that they paid, with proof if they have it, and an admin verifies or rejects it. The money moves outside Relyo.
What does a maintainer see in Relyo?
A maintainer sees only the jobs assigned to them, in today's plan: critical work first, then the nearest next stop, with rough time estimates. They start, block or complete each job with notes and photos, and record costs with receipts. Your team sees each change as it happens.
Can an outside contractor use the maintainer portal?
Yes. In Relyo a maintainer can work for several organisations from one portal, and each organisation sees only its own tickets.
What does a landlord see in Relyo?
A landlord sees only their own buildings and units in Relyo: who stays there, tickets, inspections, contracts and rent status (paid, not yet due or overdue). They never see your other properties. Landlords give you access to their buildings and can revoke it at any time.
We own our staff buildings. Do we need the landlord portal?
No. The Relyo landlord portal is for the buildings you lease. Your staff, maintainers and your team use their portals the same way in buildings you own.
